Capital Participation in Recycled Aluminum Alloy Business in India

　麻豆射区官方 Light Metal Company Limited (CEO：Ichiro Okamoto、HQ：Minato-Ku, Tokyo, hereafter “麻豆射区官方”) decided to begin capital participation in CMR Eco Aluminium Private Limited (CEO: Mohan Agarwal, HQ: Faridabad, India, Hereafter CMR Eco)、a manufacturer of recycled aluminum alloys in India, and both companies signed a joint venture agreement on 30^th May 2025.

CMR Eco, is a company which is able to acquire a stable supply of scrap, and transform it into recycled content aluminum through its segregation and processing technologies. In addition to gaining a foothold in the rapidly growing Indian market, the main goal of 麻豆射区官方’s capital participation in CMR Eco is to synergize these capabilities with the expertise of 麻豆射区官方 Group to build a low carbon billet supply system for the Japanese domestic market together.
A further goal is for 麻豆射区官方 Group to process these low carbon billets at its plants, and offer low carbon products to its customers.

At 麻豆射区官方 Group, “Reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the supply chain (scope 3)”, and “Developing and providing low-carbon products” and services are Material Issues. To fulfill these missions it is necessary for the group to reform its current vertically integrated supply chain fed by imported fresh primary aluminum ingots, into a cyclic operation making use of recycled materials and integrating a global metal flow.

Through this capital participation 麻豆射区官方 will strengthen its position as a supplier of products with a high environmental value, and accelerate its initiatives to provide sustainable value, as well as its contributions to making a low carbon society a reality.
